What’s up people! Today I’m going to take you through…
So let’s begin with the vases.

1.get an empty wine bottle. (for this project I used this specific wine bottle because I really like the shape, but feel free to pick any other)

2. remove the label and clean the bottle

3. tape it with some coloured duct tape

4. with spray paint of your choice spray-paint it

5. once the paint is dry, remove the tape.

the result should be as the diagram above.

that was simple right? :)

Now to the tissue flower tutorial part of this post.

you will need the following items.

Just to list them down, you will need:

Tissue paper (not the regular one you use in the bathroom but the one that is used in gift boxes or crepe paper)
Twine/thread/yarn
A pair of scissors
Glue sticks and a glue gun
A straw
and a pen

Step one:Take your tissue paper/crepe paper and cut it into eight even square piece; they shouldn’t be too big. Then sketch a flower on it. it doesn’t have to be perfect

Step two: Neatly cut out the sketched drawing

Step two: it should look something like this.

Step Three: Arrange the individual pieces of paper; one on top of the other but ensure that you turn each piece at an angle different from the last one.

Step four: the edges should look like this. once you’re done, take a pair of scissor and poke a hole close to the center of the folded edge.

Step Five: Take your thread/twine or yarn, cut off a small piece, pass it through the hole and twist the ends together.

Unfold the flower then from the center, one leaflet at a time gently press it.

Step Six: Tie a knot and cut off the excess thread and at this point take out your glue gun and a straw.

Take your glue gun and put some hot glue on the straw. This sticks the flower to the straw. The straw will act as a stem for the flower.

Once the glue dries, your done and you have your flower! :)

Repeat the process for more flowers, you can use a different color as i have done in the finished bunch.

I hope you love it! :)

Share your thoughts and pictures with me once you try it.
